job description : Currently,for our client, a next-generation global technology company's a provider of a range of software services and IT infrastructure services we are looking for Senior Test Engineer.
Senior Test Engineer
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the development process when needed
Develop test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications from clients or managers
Design new test equipment or software for new products or processes as needed
Write any necessary documentation such as bug reports or test case results
Coordinate with other engineering teams such as software developers to ensure that products meet requirements
Maintain an inventory of parts and equipment needed for testing purposes
Work with other engineering teams to develop new test methods or improve existing ones
Test new products or systems using a variety of computerized equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other specialized equipment
Analyze data to identify problems with products or manufacturing processes and propose solutions
Critical experiences and expected qualifications:
5-+ year of experience as tester with ETL/ELT
Strong working experience on SQL
Experience in informatica or DataStage
Experience delivering test scripts for data pipeline
Exposure in designing data pipeline tests and data analysis
Working knowledge of setting up test automation frameworks
Strong technical skills and a strong interest in the financial industry
Ability to analyze data, to identify issues like gaps and inconsistencies and to do root cause analysis
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Practical experience with data formats like API Testing etc ( good to have )
Experience with open source technologies used in Big Data analytics like Scala, Spark, Pig, Hive, HBase, Kafka ( Good to have )
