Linux Engineer
Currently for our client who is a leading global IT services company and has offices in 52 countries and over 200 000 employees we are looking for a Linux Engineer.
Job duties:
Managing L2/L3 production or project support activities.
Being responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for Linux operating system.
Coaching and mentoring other team members.
Being responsible for script development or update in different scripting (Python, Perl, Shell, Ruby).
Working on flexible working hours (sometimes including weekends).
Supporting routine operational and troubleshooting.
Job requirements:
Expert level experience in Linux and its related sub-components.
+2 years of hands on experience in Linux OS administration.
Knowledge of ITIL (or equivalent processes).
Understanding of NAS and SAN storage.
Experience in hardware troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Linux Clustering.
Experience in file-system management (creating and managing filesystems, volume groups, logical volumes).
DNS, NIS, Proxy and LDAP knowledge.
Experience in network management and security.
Red Hat certification is an advantage.
